Roy Ronald Ruyle was born September 20, 1938 on a farm near Liberty,
Nebraska to Howard Lloyd and Frieda Bell (Smith) Ruyle, the middle of
three children, and passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 while on his
golf cart at his home in Liberty at the age of 72 years, 8 months, 6
days. He was raised on the farm at Liberty and attended Liberty Public
School and graduated with the Class of 1956. On Dec. 26, 1958 Roy was
united in marriage to Margaret E. Gleisner and to this union four
children were born, Molly, Sandy, Jenny, and Ronald. As a young man
Roy accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at the
First Baptist Church, York, Nebraska. He lived and worked at
numerous places throughout Nebraska including Seward, York, Omaha,
Hartington, and Glenwood, Iowa, eventually coming full circle to
semi-retire doing what he loved the most, helping on his son’s dairy
farm at Liberty. He enjoyed conversations with his friends at the
coffee shop, and helping with raising and playing with his
grandchildren. He was a good father and grandpa.
Roy is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Molly Berger and husband Mike of Randolph, IA; Sandy Weller and husband Jerry of Broken Arrow, OK; and Jenny Barton and husband Dennie of Alton, MO; by his son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Ruyle and wife Cynthia of Liberty; by eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Lloyd and Frieda Bell (Smith) Ruyle; by two sisters, Betty Radebaugh and Susan Harms; and by two grandchildren, Elizabeth Rae Mayberry and Dana Renee Olcott.

The body will lie in state at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home, 505 N. Ninth Street, Wymore, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday with his family receiving friends from 2:30 P.M. to 4 p.m., and at the church one hour preceding the service.
Funeral service will be at 11 A.M. Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the Wymore Church Of Christ, Hwy 77 & M Street, Clayton Lundstedt and Jim Hackel officiating.
