Judy A. Kisch-Keuten, 65 years of age, of Beatrice passed away
unexpectedly at the Bryan/LGH West Hospital in Lincoln Sunday morning,
June 12, 2011. She was born on July 1, 1945 in Beatrice to Isaiah and
Edith (Ebener) Imes. Judy graduated from Beatrice High School in 1964
and attended Southeast Community College in Beatrice. She has lived in
Beatrice most of her life and had been employed as the administrative
Assistant for the director of the NRSCS in Beatrice for over 40 years.
Judy and Richard Keuten were married on September 22, 1989. She enjoyed
spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities,
her dogs, reading, and cooking and Judy had one of her recipes featured
in the Taste of Home magazine.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Melanie Christie of Beatrice and Dee Glinsmann and husband Ron of Lincoln; son Kurt Keuten of Beatrice; 8 grandchildren, Samantha Keuten of Beatrice, Jeff Salts of Lincoln, James Rivers, Ashley Rowden and Melissa Ottersberg, all of Beatrice, Dustin Wischmann, Lena Wischmann and Faith Glinsmann, all of Lincoln; and 3 sisters, Irene Hartwell of Grant, NE., Ruby Crosby and Ruth Ramsey, both of Beatrice. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Isaiah and Edith (Ebener) Imes; husband Richard Keuten (May 22, 2011); 3 brothers, Col. Otto, Leroy, and Glen Hrdlicka; and 2 sisters, Irma Baumfalk and Rose Gould.
A memorial has been established to the family's choice with the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in charge.
Interment will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice.
The body will lie in state Wednesday from 1-9:00 and until the time of the service on Thursday at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice with Jon Palmquist officiating.
