Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group to Meet
FAIRBURY – The Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group will meet on Tuesday, July 19, at 3 p.m. in the Solarium Conference Room at Jefferson Community Health Center.
The program will be Part 3 of a DVD, “The Memory Loss Tapes,” a documentary that captures the experience of memory loss from the point of view of the person with the disease. The program is divided into segments, so it will be meaningful even for those who did not attend Parts 1 or 2.
A support group is a gathering of people with common problems, needs and interests which allows them to share their feelings, thoughts and experiences in a combined effort to survive the shared problems. It may include family members, caregivers, friends and other individuals interested in sharing information and giving and receiving support.
Those who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease themselves are also welcome to attend the meetings.
The support group is open to anyone interested in attending. There is no charge and no membership commitment. No pre-registration is necessary. This group typically meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 3 p.m. in the Solarium Conference Room at Jefferson Community Health Center.
