The 2010 USA National Special Olympic Games are coming up in July. BSDC is havaing a Volunteer recruitment meeting at teh BSDC Chapel on March 8th at 7PM. Everyone is welcome.

The Fairbury Jr. High Music Department presents:  Beauty and the Beast Jr on March 8th and 9th at 7p.m. at the Burkley Fine Arts Center. Tickets are $3 for Adults and $2 Students.

The Diller Fire and Rescue Unit will be having a fundraiser and pancake feed for a new fire hall. Saturday March 13th from 5-8 will be the fundraiser. Dontations may also be sent to the Diller Community Foundation. For more information contact Chad Lottman.

The Orphan Grain Train of Lincoln will have a Wisconsin Style Fish Feed Fundraiser at the Daykin Community Center on Sunday March 14th from 11:30 - 1:30pm

A soup dinner fund-raiser is being held for the Tri County Legion baseball teams.  The event will be held Sunday, March 14^th at the Plymouth Community Center from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

All proceeds will be used for operating and construction costs of the Legion baseball field located ½ miles north of Tri County Public Schools.  Tri County Legion Baseball Organization, Inc. is sponsoring the event.  Donations for this project can be sent to Jeff Reynolds, PO Box 274, Plymouth, NE 68424.  Donations to TCLBO, Inc. are tax deductible and greatly appreciated.

The 4th Annual Beers of Nebraska will be held on Saturday March 20th from 5-9 at the Milligan Auditorium. Enjoy Czech Music and taste beers from all over Nebraska. For more information or advanced tickets call 629-4446.

There will be a Bruning Library Fundraiser on Sunday March 21st from 3-7. They will have an antique road show from 3-6 and a wine and cheese tasting featuring the Superior Vineyard. For more infomration contact the Old Tavern Antique Store at 353-2007.

March 23

Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) and Alliance for the Future of Agriculture in Nebraska (A-FAN) will be meeting with the Jefferson County Commissioners and other local partners to discuss the potential for developing the livestock industry in Jefferson County.

This meeting will take place on March 23rd, 2010 at 7:00pm.  Location is the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, north room of the 4-H building.

The main topic of this meeting is to discuss what Jefferson County's goals are in terms of developing the livestock industry and what NDA and AFAN can do to support those goals.

The annual meeting of the Farmers Union Coop Supply Co.  will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2010 6:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express Hwy 77 North – Beatrice.  The report of 2009 business, election of directors,  and any other business that may come before the meeting will be transacted.

Believe it or not it’s that time of year again!  Please plan to attend Hope Crisis Center's 6^th Annual “Put Your Foot Down Against Sexual Assault” 10k Run/2 Mile Walk on Saturday, April 24^th.  There will be a pancake feed and great prizes. The 14^th Annual 5 Star Bible Camp will be held July 19-24 at Camp Jefferson near Fairbury. This year’s camp theme will be Galactic Blast.

5 Star Bible Camp is open to all interested youth at no charge. In order to be guaranteed a t-shirt, registrations are due by May 31. Registration forms will be available at the Praise and Pancakes fundraiser on Sunday, April 25..
